I applied to the Loyola MSN/HCSM online program (based in New Orleans)---what a DISASTROUS experience: I spent weeks telephoning and e-mailing the Nursing Program trying to get info. on start dates, application deadlines, and even sent an e-mail to their "dedicated" distance-learning e-mail, but it was returned as "undeliverable" (and this from a school that purports to have a "100% online program")...When I finally got the information I requested, I turned around the application (from here in NYCity) within 24 hours and faxed and FedEx'd it (even faxing them a copy of the check for the application fee because they weren't technologically advanced enough to accept a credit card), but because my application was thereby about one business day late, they refused to consider it! I "appealed" to the new Dean and she responded with an arrogant e-mail--NOT to apologize for the nonsensical frustration I had experienced due to her school's employee and technical difficulties, but to state she would "look into" the website issue...As far as I know, that e-mail address still doesn't work! I then appealed to the Dean above her as well as the Univ. Provost and received . . . . no response, not even an acknowledgement (but, hey, I guess that's progress for Loyola--at least the e-mails weren't returned as "undeliverable ;-) weeks later, though, someone from Admissions called to see if I wanted to "pursue" my application for the subsequent semester. I responded (quickly!) and told them that if they cashed the check I had sent in with my FedEx'd application, I would sue the school. Unbelievable. -Steve, CCRN, Attorney-At-Law
