I have been at NEU for three semesters pursuing a BS Leadership. I have really enjoyed the experience. The online format is easy to use and understand. I have only had wonderful professors that are helpful and understanding to the fact that distance learners are adults with real lives and responsibilities. I would recommend this school.

I am currently enrolled at NEU working on a Master's degree. The degree is 100% online. I did not have to pay a $1000 deposit, so not sure where that information came from. Tuition is similar to other schools, it is $524 credit hour. I'm in a fast-track program with 7 classes @ 6 credit hours each so it is going to cost me aroung $22k not including books. I checked with many other schools some more expensive, some a little less, but I really liked the program at NEU. It fit my schedule and my budgit. I've completed two courses and I've learned quite a bit. No, it is not for everyone, but it works for me. It is a tier 1 school with a good reputation and is accredited the same as Boston U, Boston College, Harvard etc. Not saying it is in the same class as Harvard, but it has the same accredidation.

How do find out which schools use vendors for their programs?

Here's the deal...

You're paying for the reputation of the brick and mortar campus of Northeastern University.
Northeastern like many new comers to the online community do not host or setup their user interface sites.
Within the acceptance letter, you're asked for an immediate non-refundable deposit of $1000. I've never heard of this from any reputable schools before.

Northeastern uses a Canadian company called Embanet. This company is no different than many for-profit schools that have sales people who hound the crap out of you.

Classes will run you $3700 each and they utilize a blackboard type archaic interface.

Watch out for schools that use a vendor to host and run their online outlets. Many of them get greedy over money and in the end, the students get screwed!

I was going to say the same as well. I'm just surprised no input or review on this school. Can anyone provide feed back?

I came to check out the reviews for the online MBA. This is a high-ranked school, supposed to be one of the best in the country, so why aren't there any reviews?

The on-line MBA program with no GMAT requirement (if all other admission requirements are met) appears to be an outstanding AACSB accredited program. However, it's going to cost you about $60,000 in tuition alone (approximately $1175 per unit).

I am a current student with NEU and am graduating in July. Let me start off by saying that none of my classes cost $3700 like a previous comment has said.

But yes, you have the reputation of a highly ranked university when you pursue your education with them. I have priced this school against others and let me tell you...Devry charges $64,000 to pursue you bachelor degree after you've already gained your associates. This is costing me $24,000.

I honestly have never in my life been happier with a school. My teachers are amazing, the administration is helpful, and I am being challenged. This program is rigorous and I have enjoyed everything about it. If you are considered going to Northeaster, trust me, you WILL NOT be disappointed.
